Well that went better than expected so far, used camera function on autel scan tool no old gasket left on head or manifold so that good the bolts are in rough shape some of the threads not right cleaned the far right one up re died it 3/8 curse thread with 7/17 head for spanner, then on wire brush on bench grinder , do i change over to new stud and nut in stead of bolts???? can be seen been blowing for some time black sooted up gasket and bolt threads didnt use ramp as if job went pear shaped the heads would of needed to come of didnt want to tie the ramp up so 2 rear bolts access through wheel arch ,
No I didn't order one in the end 1st bolt easy 2nd tight 3rd tight 4th very tight and pig to get to 5th easy. Wonder wat other side will be like??? Very suprised to be honest looking at how rusty they were

Put TA on the ramp to check underneath from doing gasket. And to grease all the nipples. Found damper ( shock) loose nut rusted on used heat to remove it took shock of car to rethread it and new nyloc shock felt a bit week sod I ordered new pair so thought I would take the other one of ready that was a pain this didn't feel that good and both very rusty so good job I did order. So did a bit of tidy up of washer pump. Hose and battery cables use my rivet nut set and rubber p clips
Went take car out of garage ready for Sunday event at Shrewsbury after cleaning it on Friday. Well that didn't go to plan started car let it warm up reversed out of garage turn car off did a few things inside b4 going went back to car wouldn't start totally dead nothing feking great all I need tried jump pack nothing fek leave it had to take mustang and look wen I get home. Suppected starter motor all day in my mind running through what it might be. Jacked car up cable bolt on starter very loose no not the nut the bolt that goes into starter motor. ( Dan's going yo post video I sent him) but now car on drive and not on ramp. Dad and not got the strength to push car onto ramp so we towed car back up drive as drive on an incline removed rope from audi and free rolled it onto ramp result it worked. Ordered that night new starter motor from rockauto and removed old unit on Monday ready.
Finally had enough of doing temp repairs to exhaust system so went to Shrewsbury to get quote for new cat back system mine been on the car for 14 plus years done well. 1300 quid plus two days required and 4 hours of my time treverling back and forward. When my 3lt subaru from cat back cost me 600 quid and and 3 hours labour twin system from cat back. So looked at jegs and summit both prices not to bad went with summit racing in the end as brought some T shirts and extra exhaust hangers as kit didn't come with the ones I needed over axle everything else was in kit so for 760 all in with shipping tax and duty placed order here with in 4 days. Total time for me me to remove and fit was about 4.5 hours. Middle pipe you cut to fit length of your vechile. Treated myself to a new 1/2 impact wrench as well.
Happy with it so far sound is quieter than the old system but then it had holes in it. Yes those hangers by the axle have left until done proper test drive once that is all good will cut them back good point about welding might do that as well. Mate came round with his wife's new daily 1.2 fiesta with knackered exhaust looking on gsf and ecp 55 to 75 quid for exhaust system from cat back 1 peace how prices differ..
