Emailed some parts places about parts, getting things together.
I do need to treat some of the rust, it's very light, but good to keep on top of it. So got some brushes. I'll clean up the axle and paint it in POR15 black.
Started to disconnect things to lower the rear axle, shocks disconnected, even one of the trailing arms so I could remove the calipers of this stuck one. I should get more time on it tomorrow.
Reason for lowering the axle is to get the fuel tank out. Also to take off any bits along the way to scrub up and treat.
Exhaust was challenging, a grinder to the bolts done the trick. Looks like I could reuse the exhaust. I'll looks to clean it up and paint.
Tank has some rust.
Found the pump connector. Different on 85's and later, so was hard to find info. Glad I found it as would be concerning lowering the tank and it pulling a wire. But we are all good.
A wire brush to the tank. I think it can be preserved and painted. Not as bad as it originally looks.
