American Country Music star Kenny Rogers has passed away today.
Ahh, that's lovely!!I heard that on the radio. Shame, great memories of his songs. Reminds me of the computer I had at the time, mum used to play his songs alot.
I played his songs yesterday while I was working on stuff in the office.
Pretty good age. A voice to remember.
Very much, not many people realise he was a Jazz bassist (and a bloody good one from the footage I've seen) and that "Islands in the Stream" was actually written by the Bee Gees. My favourite of his is "Coward of the County" because it reminds me of Stafford.Interesting! He had a more varied career than I realised! So sad.
Wow!! I didn't know that!!I think I knew he was also a photographer, but had no idea quite how good he actually was.
Looming mountains, ghostly presidents, trees that stand like gods … the country star was a trained photographer – and his brooding images caught the sinister side of Americawww.theguardian.com
