today i fitted a new handle to the dipstick

You mean mill down a 15mm spanner lol....
Knife blade as a dips tick handle what was going through your mind to think that up looks good adds a bit of character to the engine bay๐Ÿ‘

The wheels-off clean with the inner arches done properly is the part most people skip, so fair play on that. Ducking past the Camaro while the mower takes priority sounds about right for a project car. Getting the oil and coolant lined up before it comes out of the garage is smart, since a proper service first will save grief later. That deep clean will probably take longer than the service itself. What year is the Camaro?

i had one on a Rover 3.5, 50 years ago. one day i was thinking about that car then had a look on the intertwit to see if the handle was still available.
originally marketed by Cals Custom. the try wing nut holding on the air filter is a Cals customs part i originally got for that rover

Was that a quiestion direct at me? The Camaro in the garage was a 1991 camaro, it was 3.1l V6. It was a project that just say there fr 9 years, done bits on it, but no motovation. Sold that to make room for the 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Pace car edition. Now that is something that I have plenty of motivation for. Still got the purple 2000 T/A.

The full wheel-off clean with the inner arches done properly is the part most people skip, so that's a solid day's work even if your arms are feeling it now. The Camaro service sounds like the right approach, getting the oil and coolant sorted before it comes out rather than after. What year is it? I always find a proper clean reveals things a quick wash hides, so it's smart to plan the service and the detail together.

FYI the camaro has gone to another home it was sold a few months back. check other threads the old camaro owner now has 2 pontiac trans ams check out the other threads.

To get this thread back on track lol. Dad's duster just waiting on oil change new fuel pressure regulator now fitted. Price of oil is sky high for 5 lts 5/30 or 5/40 looking at buying 20lts again at around 80 to 100 quid.
