trouble is some of these bodge artist think they are doing it right. i know someone who genuinely thinks patching sills by sticking plates on with filler is the correct way. he was taught in a so called body shop

I’ve seen repairs done using chicken wire to give the filler something to bond too because the hole they are filling is so big!!
 
If for whatever reason the entire panel can't be replaced, I cut out the tin worm and fabricate steel sheet to repair the resultant hole in the panel, but only by welding. It's staggering to think that someone would use filler!
OMG..chicken wire! :LOL:. I've even found tinfoil and old newspaper within filler before! :ROFLMAO:
