Just over a year ago we announced the addition of Osram and Philips bulbs to the ever growing list of products available at Engine Oil, Motor Oil and Car Engine Oils from the largest UK independent online supplier of Performance Oils.

These have proved very popular so we thought we would extend the range by adding Philips ColorVision headlight bulbs. Available as H4 and H7 fitments in either Blue, Purple, Green or Yellow, these innovative coloured car bulbs are certified road legal and comply with all ECE regulations – they even come with a certification card to prove they are road legal.

Thanks to Philips technology these bulbs offer a substantial upgrade to standard bulbs, Philips claim that ColorVision bulbs light up the road with 60% more white light than any other standard bulb giving you increased visibility compared to standard lamps.

Philips has been in the automotive lighting industry for 100 years and has been responsible for introducing technological innovations that have become standard on modern vehicles. In fact, according to Philips themselves, one in two cars in Europe and one in three worldwide is equipped with Philips lighting.

With the addition of Philips ColorVison Opie Oils choice of bulbs has never been better. For those of you who didn’t know we stock Philips and Osram bulbs for Headlamps, Fog Lights, Rear Lights, Brake Lights, Side Lights, Indicators, Number Plates and Interior lights - All of which can be found on our web site.

As always one of the helpful bunch at Opie Oils will be happy to answer and questions you may have, you can call us from 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday, drop us an email at sales@opieoils.co.uk or just ask us on the forum.

I really don't think car headlamps need to be any brighter , I hate driving at night because of this reason they are far too dazzling as it is ...

I do agree, but I'm tempted to get brighter light to get my own back on the Nissan Jokes with 6 lights.

Car lights are getting brighter and the bulbs is getting smaller, you with all that extra light coming from a small source it very intense. Like the new Landrover bulbs, I'm sure the light went though my head, it momentary blinded me.

If they are properly adjusted it shouldn't make difference.
I think the real issue is misadjusted headlamps then someone adds brighter bulbs as a bandaid.
Of course there is always the rabbit in the headlamps scenario, sometimes your eyes are just drawn to the oncoming headlamps.

I get that on the Playstation, I see the car coming, but I hit it as I see it coming, its like you are drawn to steering into them. Good job its on the playstation
