New forum

This is quite a large recent change. I think its a change for the better. so much more functionality, Easier for people to add images in the signature, avatars etc... Users can even create photo albums.
The Calendar section is superb, so easy to add events, and add more details. I think this will certainly bring forum users together, a closer community.

I will take the old forum offline on the 27th of November, that gives us 1 month for people to switch to the new one. Its easy to create a new account on the forum, its a shame I couldn't bring the accounts over from the old forum, but they work so different it wouldn't be a quick task.

Enjoy the new forum, have a look around, there is a FAQ section which should answer most questions, but if you need help just let me know.

I seem to have trouble putting a sig pic up. I can do it on the stang forum but not on here. What am I missing ?

By the way Dan are we able to put a link to the new forum on the front page as some ppl may not know where to go. Even though you have put that lovely big message on the old one, some may not be registered for that one either. I have saved the new one as a favourite and i am sure mum has too (something she knows how to do i am sure!!)

No problem, I'll get that bit sorted tonight. Even if you are not a member of the old forum they will see that message with link to the new one.

Added the menu last night, fills up the gap a bit better.

I'll get right on to the Private Message issue. I noticed you were a 'standard user', so I changed you to a 'Core Member' yesterday, this could be where it went wrong.

EDIT: sorted private messages for Core Members. Although Private messages were ticked, the message limit box was zero which disabled it.

And another thing..........When you click on 'New Posts' who is uploading all the 'News' items? Far too many in my opinion. If you check the forum 4 or 5 times a day it's not too bad but the occasional users must have to wade through pages to find anything club related.

Just my personal thoughts.

The News section will not appear now. So 'New Posts' is just from what members have posted.

No worries, have sorted that one too. In the bottom left of your screen, you will see a drop down box. I have implmented two colour schemes. Dark background with light text (Default) or Dark Text with Light Background.
