My Audi A4 S Line, had a mot advisory on top suspension arms and and front discs and pads we new about brakes as posted before but as in lockdown for a year car not being used, so as still not out of covid might as well sort this all out FEK what a PITA,
How the mot inspector saw the small split in rubber bushes but fair play to him so as their are 2 on the top each side ordered all 4 110quid later and as i was having to take the front strut out to change dad said check strut they look very rusty so when out pushed the strut down one was slow to return other other didnt return great so 138quid later and had to order my disc and pads got deal on these 75quid so the fun starts with trying to remove top bolt to the top ball joint arms what a PITA and to end it all the suspension leg broke see where bolt goes or dosnt now this was fun getTing a replacement OEM non in uk over 300quid non OEM
175 quid plus PP 2nd scrap yards via find my part wanted 345quid 2nd hand not a chance robbing bar stalls they are, manage to get a 2nd hand one what i thought was coming from IPSWITCH but was from Polland 110quid also had to change the tie rod and well as getTing that of again was fun 22quid later so we now have passenger side all sorted with new struTnew upper arms and disc and pads great so onto the replacement leg to get the old arms off and remove Speed sensor abs sensor and brake pad sensor cable fek bolt had to be cut of and redrilled M6 and arms out so already so finally took the old leg off car and removed lower arms 1st one easy 2nd bit of ply one off not happy so ordered new lower arm 45quid should be hear Tuesday then can be put back on and car on the road again , picture heavy, so what would this all of cost in a garage 2nd morgage lol,,,,
