People will undoubtedly hate on them, but we’ve never lost our love for the 3rd gen Camaro. And besides, the only gripe anybody has with everybody’s favorite high school ride is their inherent lack of power. But that’s an easy fix, of course. Simply toss an LS under that angular hood and the sky’s the limit. But few LS-swapped Camaros of this generation compare to this blue beauty owned by LsxMatt. For starters, she’s a real looker. With stunning blue paint, a cowl hood, and requisite period ground effects, there’s almost too much ’80s/’90s goodness here. But when you smash the throttle, you quickly realize there’s no weak sauce TPI 305 under the hood. Nope, just 5.3-liters of blown LS glory. And in this video, we get to see the results of Matt’s hard work with a visit to the dyno.In preparation for that, the Camaro receives bigger injectors and a new tune, along with a few other adjustments. Fuel pressure problems arose, however, putting a quick stop to the fun. After a couple of experiments, Matt got that all sorted out long enough to record some good strong pulls.Pre blower, the Camaro was putting out 341 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque on a conservative Mustang dyno. With the huffer, tune, and meth, those numbers increased to 529 hp and 510 lb-ft. We’ll take a 188 hp and 199 lb-ft increase at the wheels any day of the week, personally. On a Dynojet, horsepower would jump to 624 ponies. We’re also guessing that’s going to help the car improve on its previous 13.4-second quarter mile time at 109 miles per hour. Especially since Matt has some rear end work planned for the future. So stay tuned!Join the LS1tech forums today!Tags: 3rd Gen Camaro, camaro, Chevy, Dyno, LS(, LSX, Video
