I have a weird relationship with the 3rd generation Camaro. It"s a longing that"s haunted me ever since I almost bought one about ten years ago. I was ready, cash almost in hand when the seller sold it out from under my offer. Suffice it to say, ever since then, I"ve wanted one terribly.I"ve always had this sick fantasy to turn the limp noodle that is the 3rd gen Camaro into the perfect canyon carver and autocross junky. It"s wide stance, aggressive lines, and massive engine make it the ideal candidate to turn into an absolute monster. I thought I was the only one with this idea. I was wrong.On this week"s Big Muscle on /Drive, Mike Musto takes on what could very well be, the Perfect IROC. It"s red, has a big V8 and actually works! It"s also been setup to take corners unlike how the Camaro came from the factory.
