What have you done to your vehicle today?

One of the last its 1981, still got the 301 Turbo motor in it and apart from the dodgy paint job its all stock
Excellent! I remember a black one years ago which used to park in Southsea. It had the turbo boost lights in the bonnet bulge...

Drove to Screwfix to pick up some bits, and also to turn the car around so the front was over the bit.
Emptied the catch can.
Checked the Power steering leak, it was all dry around the pipes, I must have been mistaken the other day when i thought i saw a damp pipe, the fluid was low on the power steering which also made me think there was a leak. When i filled it up originally, i did run the car, hoping to remove all air in the system, perhaps more air was released after driving, so perhaps not a leak after all.
Set up a TV in the garage and casted a live video from Racecraft about camber and suspention alignment, it was a very good informative live cast, lots of free information. they were also selling a support package which i think would be more for businesses, they did have some handy pointers setting up your own alignment gear.
Measured my Camber on the T/A, its 1.8 degrees on the passenger side and 1.5 degrees on the drivers side, at-least I have a good way of measuring it and a formula set up in Excel to give me degrees.

Did you bleed the power steering? Normally a couple of lock to lock turns with the weight of the car on the wheels is sufficient. Normal driving will do it but not recommended. You might come up against an air pocket and find no assistance provided!

Drove it. Across country to Bedford to see Atlantic Autos. My car had an outstanding recall that is solved by a PCM update. They did it for me FOC and we were there less than hour. Great service.
Spent longer driving one way than we did there.
Scatpack got loads of attention, some of the wrong kind.... what it is with drivers of German cars? Why do they have to act like such pricks behind the wheel?
I did get pissed off with the driver of an 08 Audi A3, slammed to the floor and covering my car with diesel soot every time he floored it away from a junction in some misguided effort to impress me or prove his car was fast.
I eventually gave in and left him for dead whilst he was trying to stay in front. To his credit he left me alone after that!

Not a god dam thing lol

Have now decided to play a game called,,,what’s hiding behind the filler, the weekend surprise was this on the drivers side front wing

Agreed. It’s one of the reasons I like new cars
Wash your mouth out with used engine oil, NO SOUL OR CHARACTOR NEW CAR UNLES THEY ARE BESPOKE,

Why the shouting?
I agree old cars have character but they also have rust and other driving characteristics that I cannot live with.

Not shout my computer at least it didn't post it 3 or 4 times lol

After making templates of the good side and mirrored them to the other....fabricated a new lower wing section
