Nipped out to get fuel. Gave it some beans, smelt burning rubber, power steering went stiff. 0-100mph felt great.
Pulled over by Churchillian/ Mick's burger van.

My 5 rib belt has seen better days

Managed to move my car with no belt to the George Pub further down the road. Can drive with no power steering, although temperature goes up quick. So couldn't make it home I was around 4 miles from home.

Cleaned up the belt a bit, only 2 ribs remain.

It's a pig to get the belt on, kept getting burnt. Blisters on my arm.

Finally got it pretty much there. Hand on, bottom pulley not in line. Looks like I lost that bottom pulley bolt and the pulley has wandered, shredded the belt for the fun of it.

Sarah came to the rescue with extra tools. I had a spare bolt but wasn't long enough, used a threaded bar to pull through pulley wheel back on.

Took it careful getting home, checking temperature. All went well. I'll get another belt from ProParts in the morning.

Don't forget the mac Donald's you had from swmnbo as well. As least you were local wen it happened

New belt on. Just need to sort the bottom pulley bolt. Got a threaded bar in there with washers and double nuts.

I'll clean up the oil too. Due to the pulley coming forward the oil seal wasn't making contact. I will need to check the oil level, should have lost much but I was driving down hill.

Busy working at the moment. Club night tonight. Finish at 5pm. So have around 30mins to finish this off and get fuel before club night.

things go down hill with gravity faster lol,,, or is gravity a fixed physics number lol,,,,
