My first pumpkin carving

Hi guys, just thought for a first attempt at carving a pumpkin I'll start with something simple....err maybe not.

Thanks guys. It was relatively easy, just time consuming. Basically you trace a design onto the pumpkin and with a sharp knife you then score around the design, then you slice under where you want the light to show through to remove just the outer skin.

I like the firebird one, should look nice with a flickering candle behind it.

Wow someone had a lot of time on their hands for this one. Like how they got the multi tones on the horse and kept the writing quite a uniform colour.
