Moved GPU's into a purpose made drawer

The power supply motherboard and 9 GPU cars were taking up valueable work top space. This was a temporary solution until I build something to store them in. Also they need airflow. My plan was for it to push air out of the front of the drawer, sucking in air from the back. There will be filters on the side of the drawer cabinet.

Got another one to build too, there is room for another shelf below. Sarah is enjoying the 600watts of heat it is giving off in the lounge. It will be in the garage once we have a log burner fitted.

How many fans wow

That drawer is duplicated below now, so an additional 7 fans. Thiese are running at 1800rpm, pretty silent. Well compared to the 3000 RPM fans that are running on my other mining rig.

19 GPU's behind all them fans in the photo.

see sponge bob was helping you in one of those pictures lol,,,

I had a drawer with 9 AMD 6600s running. Wanted yo upgrade this to 12 cards. I have a motherboard to support it. The 850w power supply wouldn't quite be many enough, best to run around 80% load. 55w per GPU, perhaps 50W more mother board and CPU. I upgraded to a 1000w PSU.
Lined up 12 risers. It would be close for airflow on the GPUs, I picked GPUs with horizontal fins, so forcing air in the back and sucking out the front with many fans will really work well.

Powered up to check power on all the risers.

The 3 new GPUs to add.

All plugged in and running well.

Popped in the drawer area, 12 cards on top and 10 on the next below.
7 noctura fans pushing air through the cards. 7 artic fans blowing this air out the front into the open.

I don't understand all this stuff but is the reward greater than the expenditure? Iguess it must be but what sort of percentage gain are we looking at here?
