I know I have posted about eBay before, where I search UK only, buy something and it then has a 2-6 week time frame of delivery because it coming from China. Well I'm certainly more careful on that now.

I saw an advert for a Ryobi 8Ah battery. I do have one of these already, great for mowing the lawn.

When you see this. Picture of the battery just like my other one. Title states Genuine. Only thing that looks out of place it the low price.

So I go for it.
What turned up, is this cheap looking made in china clone. I'm actually afraid to plug it in to charge it. Looks naff.

Contacted the seller, they say they sent the right item.
The item is this:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365845891134, and when you read the desciption futher down, they do make battery clones.
Contacted eBay, they say the seller has done nothing wrong. Even though the picture and title are totally wrong to what the seller sends out.

I've been conned again. I an really loosing faith in eBay, too many dirty tricks on there. Yeah I should have read the entire description, but why is the picture and title not related to the product?

Plus this battery is half the height, it more like a 4Ah size, so I doubt it has the correct capacity. Again I'm not going to plug it in to try it out, not in the garage when I'm not there.
