this is not the original box its about 23 years newer than the Ranchero. i bought it a few years ago supposedly with an
taken it apart and not put all bits back in. it was rebuilt and i was pleased with the result, especially the extra gear.
recently the box had developed a 1-2 shift fault. i read the codes witch said "slip" not the fault i was looking and the fluid
had some muck in it.

You been busy so what you found so far???? Auto box if its a auto?

the valve, left of last picture is badly worn. this is what controls the 1-2 shift. i have an oversize one coming from Sonnax. this should cure that problem. the slip problem, i am still working on that.
