Classic / American specialists in Chichester/Portsmouth area?

Looking for any good local garages for those jobs on the Mustang that i can't/won't/don't have time to do!

At present I could do with somewhere to quote for installing full weatherstripping, and also somewhere thats good at getting the most out of an old carbed V8...

many thanks!

Go to the next goodwood breakfast meet and chat with the locals.sure others will be along to help got pic of car?? Did you do bueliue today??

Depending on how bad carb is???? By the time you brought rebuild kit and labour you might as well buy a remanufacture carb or a new carb and it's done a dusted.

I had a Rochester 4bbl carb on TA unknown age but old tried rebuild kit lasted 6months so brought reman Rochester carb from summit all set up ready to bolt on all in witl shipping tax 300quid but that was about 6 years ago still going strong. 4 bolts gasket throttle link auto link vac line so quick easy fix even you can find the time for that lol😁😁

I've heard club members on a club night mention https://www.modurstang.co.uk/
That they have left their mustang there for work to be done.
They are towards Oxford, so a fair bit of travel. But if they are good and specialise in Mustangs, perhaps it's worth it.
I don't know how good they are, perhaps others may know.
@chris68coupe Have you heard of their work?

I have no personal dealings with them so can't comment on thier work. However, they have good reviews on MOCGB website.

Weatherstrip's are usually straight forward or at least they were on my car, as for getting the most out of the motor that depends on its current state (servicing) and what you feel you would like out of it, so far i have nursed all the yanks i have owned mainly due to being in the bognor area and over the years the specialists have either faded away or got greedy

Engine runs sweet currently, if somewhat rich - i need to get it out on a run to really get an understanding of what it needs tbh, but she idles well and revs cleanly, so i'm hoping its just a general tune up.

My biggest issue is i have no idea which bits i actually need, and i would want full confidence that the car can withstand a good wash ( it needs it!)
Motor wise i'm just thinking it would benefit from a service ( happy to do that bit myself) having the ign advance checked/set, carb checked over, the usual really. im fairly confident with that sort of thing, but atm severely lacking in tools and time! Plus it would be nice to get her on the rollers and see how many ponies have left the stable!

Not used them personally but have been around a few years now,

if you buy all the service parts from rockauto be cheaper than getting all the parts here unless you want it next day you can then pay the wife to got out for the day then tinker with the 2nd wife lol all very easy with basic tool kit , to be honest if you use motor factors they will give you some discount and help with basic parts but rockauto easy and cheap,

there is or was a rolling road in littlehampton but i cant remember there name,

you didn't  break it then you need more power lol

I've added more power, just havn't been back. Tony had his Capri dynoed there, so its good for 1000hp, not sure if they dynoed his 1500hp.
