Changing the valve spring in the T/A LS1

All back together.
Hunting idle is just a relearn thing, it was running on 7 cylinders before.
Test drive tomorrow, and change oil.

Run it up to temp. Changed the oil.

Test drive went well. Ready for tomorrow's show on hayling.

Took the TA out for a drive to a show on Sunday, no new noises. Got some fuel later that afternoon and a quick drive around the country lanes while data logging. All seems to be performing okay, took it up to 5000rpm.

TA still going well. Taken it to the rev limit. Goes well.
I was hoping that my oil leak may have got fits, as looked like the rocker gasket leaked a little at the back, also some valve stem oil seals were shot. However I'm back to the idea of the rear main seal. Although the other fixes have certainly rediced oil loss.

Ordered some more oil from Opie, saw they had 15% offser today.

The 15% off certainly helped. It lasts me a while. Slightly cheaper buying in 20 litres quantities.

15% off made it cheaper, still over £200 though. Arriving today.
It was recommended by Opie oil on this forum after my engine rebuild. Car is usually 10w30 or 5w30 depending on where you live, colder/warmer conditions.
Due to all the engine changes they recommended a good 5w40.

Happy to pay a little more than regular oil if its prolonging the engine life after all the money I spent on parts.

Dog in interested. Its arrived, and made in England :)
