Word of the day

Quite straightforward. Pick an unusual or uncommon word that you/like/dislike or just hear or use throughout the day. For clarity, if you think it’s pronounication or meaning might not be known please include both.

One word per day please folks.

Today’s word is:

Hyperbole

Pronounced - hahy-pur-buh-lee

Meaning - obvious and intentional exaggeration.

This came up on a news article and I had to look it up!

I have a t-shirt with FEK on it, I wear it when I go to Ireland. The factory in Irerland that I work for is a few miles from where father ted was filmed. I stay in a lace called Lahinch just south of Father Ted.

I tend to not use long words, else I would have added some words. If I hear a long word on TV I'd just ignore it rather than look it up.

You two have come up with some interesting words.

They don’t have to be long words. It could have been anything, but the thread was de-railed by idiocy. Why do I bother trying to add content?
