What have you done to your vehicle today?

i assume your car is after March 2000 build for you to do that
This was one of my concerns too, the plates could just end up hanging on the wall in the garage.
When the car was coming over on the boat, I brought V28 DAN as know I couldn't make the car newer so went a year older to be sure it could be assigned to the car.
I'm buying the new plate though Regtransfers.co.uk they done some checks, the DVLA have it on record it's a 2000 model(which is correct) however it's going to come down to a month. It's going to be tight. They think it can be assigned, but if it can't then I don't have to complete the purchase.

Had a box of all sorts of sizes.

Also done some data logging and tuning today. Nothing to show.

Nipped to Asda to get fruit for the week.

Done some data logging. Its looking really good, slowly getting things dialed in. Above to zap some further changes back into the car.

Renewed a couple of pipes.
Pipe between to valve cover and throttle body was a little short, well tight.

New braided 10mm pipe added with jubilee clips.
1000088022.jpg

Also the steam vent pipe that comes from the top of the block to the radiator wasn't nice. So renewed that too. Old thick pipe was very squidgy.
1000088016.jpg

Also has a barbed adapter from 10mm to 8mm inside. Where before it was a dodgy bit of metal pipe that wasn't gripping at all.

Used some Gunk engine cleaner. Its stpray on stuff, leave it for a few mins then jetwash off.

Main reason for that is new bits look nice, but some parts are not so nice, wanted to start with clean metalwork. I aim to paint this black with POR15 before Brands Hatch Speedfest in 1 weeks time.

Also see the sticking up bolt threads. I aim to print some black covers for them.

Once this is done you can start on swmnbo car lol.🤣

Tidied up the engine bay with a bit of paint. Also added some 3D printed screw on knobs on top of the threaded studs.

That porting is looking great. Its surprising how much meat they left in the casting. Thats like a 1/4 of the opening is blocked.

Nice messy job coming along nicely keep up the good work
