I flushed the cooling systems of the Firebird and Mini, then filled with anti freeze mix for protection to -18. I couldn't run them to get the thermostats open (they are both in the garage with little ventilation and the Firebird has no carburettor at the moment), so I removed both stats for the flush and refill.
I will re fit them at the end of winter.

Hand brake cables have now turned up for the Duster 63quid for the pair as the old ones were stretched so another weekend planned

Took cover off and started her up til she got warm :)

Started up and ran it until warm. Also played a track from an album I’m enjoying and boy did it sound good on the car stereo. Looking forward to driving to that!!

and what whas the sounds then?

Has sounds of led zepplin and free paul rodgers in it, and the outlaws (y)

The new vacuum diaphragm has arrived. I'll fit it later. The supplying company is called Walker Products. I hadn't heard of them before and found them via eBay. They are US based with a depot here. It seems they specialise in fuel delivery parts, ingition parts and sensors. Paul there has been so helpful and the prices seem competitive too.
