This event happens on Good Friday at either beginning of April or end of March, well when ever good Friday falls. The cruise to Wheels Day will be leaving from the Horndean Morrisons car park at 8:00am.

Santapod Festival of Power (Easter Thunderball) Sat 30th-Mon 1st (easter weekend)
An action packed Easter weekend of family Drag Racing entertainment including European Nitro Funny Car series, Jet Car Shootout and National Drag Racing. Plus all things powerful off track including monster trucks, stunts, displays and more.

Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival From 15th Jun 2013 to 16th Jun 2013

For 2013 The Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival (June 15th -16th) will once again bring you three aspects of competition, the Double Twelve Driving Tests, the Double Twelve Speed Trials and the Double Twelve Concourse. Each of these exciting competitions will produce an outstanding winner, with the prestigious Double Twelve trophy going to the competitor with the best results from any two of the three competitions. Round 1 - Santa Pod’s flagship championship event attracting over 250 of Europe’s top drag racing teams including 300mph Top Fuel Dragsters, Drag Bikes, Jet Cars, stunts, monster trucks, traders, sideshows and more family entertainment.

Waterlooville Classic Motor Show On 6th Jul 2013
The event where we can park up in Waterlooville town center and do a bit of shopping. It was a little wet last year, fingers crossed for great weather and turnout this year. This is a pre-book event. Forms will be given out when they arrive.

Goodwood Festival of Speed, 12th-14th July
Subject to any further amendments to the Grand Prix calendar, the 2013 Festival of Speed will now take place on 12-14 July, with the Moving Motor Show being held on Thursday 11 July.

Stars and Stripes - Burseldon BrickworksOn 21st Jul 2013
The brickwork's museum is having another show this year. Last year was a good turn out of american cars, even though it rained all day. The museum is a great place to walk round, seeing how they make bricks many years ago.

A few events in the pipeline

Denmead School
We have done this event in the past. I’m still waiting to hear back on dates for this, thats if it is going ahead this year.

Alton
The Alton Herald do 2 shows in a year, Festival of Transport is in May, their second one where most of us go is in September on a Saturday. I’m waiting on dates for this one. As soon as i know it will be on the website.

Scalextric Night
Its at a place called Bolwextric, its in Clanfield. Bolwextric Scalextric slot car racing track circuit party club Clanfield Hampshire PO8 0RN Kitchen building works for up to 14 people its ?165 for the evening(?12 per head) , over 14 people the price comes down to around ?7.50 per head.

The track is 6 lanes wide, so plenty of cars to race against, also its a championship style race. When 6 people are racing the other people can stand around the track at certain corners putting cars back on when they fly off (as I'm sure they will)

They have two sets of muscle cars, including Plymouth and NASCAR's, so ideal for our club.

They have other club events on Mondays and Thursdays so we cant go then. We can all work out a day and month that suits us. Deposits will be required for this one.

Malc knows the chap that runs this place.
Go-Karting
Anyone interested in Go-Karting? Done it with the club many years ago. It was a great evening out. So for all you petrol heads that cant get enough of burning oil and fuel, then this competitive event is a great load of fun.

They have one in Gosport. One thing you may get is a few bruises, and you may ache. I'm not selling it am I, lol. The fun totally overcomes any aches you may have.

Even if you don't race, you can cheer the others on from the side lines.
For thoes who is interested we need to get an idea of numbers, and put in a deposit. A list of dates can be arrange at next club night.
The event starts with a driver’s briefing followed by a chance to get behind the wheel with 5 minutes of practice laps. You’ll then be fully prepared before taking part in the 10 minutes of qualifying laps, where you’ll need to burn some rubber to try and secure the fastest qualifying time. Karters are then split into two groups according to your qualifying time. The slower group of qualifiers will then battle it out for 15 minutes with the fastest finisher winning the 3rd place trophy overall. The fastest qualifying group then put pedal to metal to race in another 15 minute race, with the top two finishers claiming the 1st and 2nd place trophies.
Prices from just ?34.99 per driver (based on 8-12 drivers)

Arundel Castle
We has a successful event with them in the past. I’ve sent an email to their events department (about 4th Jan) but not heard anything back as yet.

Santapod / Shakesphere
They host many events in the year, some of us go up for camping, and hope to see some good racing. They even do ‘run what you brung weekends’ which some of us are tempted to take our cars down the track. This will be mentioned on the forum.

Renegades Summer Show
Some people want one, some don’t want the hassle. Well we may be able to get something going in between. What if Fort Nelson could let us park up in their grounds to produce the show, however they would collect money on the gate to pay for insurances etc.. That way all we have to do it turn up and perhaps help with parking, which we have people happy to do that already. Matt has sent an email to the fort, and we are waiting to hear back.
