The new Chevy Camaro is one of the most impressive engineering and muscle car/sportscars in the last few years. Forget the GT350 Mustangs and their flat plane crank V8s, the new SS and subsequent later editions are going to blow the Mustangs out of the water. Literally.According to one of our forum posters, an owner of a bone stock Sixth Generation Camaro 2SS equipped with Magnetic Ride, Nav, optional larger front brakes and a portly driver still was able to run the quarter mile in just 12 seconds flat at 116 miles per hour. That, for a stock rear-wheel drive V8 sportscar is impressive.This time has led many to speculate on the forum how easily it would be to get the car to run under 12 seconds including reducing the fuel in the tank, a smaller driver, and less options.
