Don't know how clear this will come out but you can see the eye of the storm in the valley and thunder is in back ground.

You done well to catch it on camera, they are fast little things.

They are bigger than last years must be doing something right for the wildlife.

They live 2-5 years in the wild, so there is a good chance it could be the same one from last year. If it feels safe will start creating many mini spikey creatures. They usually have 4-6 babies, but can be as many as 10.

Not nice to see. Bird of pry been killed
Might be a sparrow hawk???

Sad indeed, could be a Sprarrow Hawk but I think the legs should be more yellow.

Could also be natural, old age.

Update on jackdaw. He/she tried a couple of times around 11ish to fly only went about a meter then rested by gate just gone out and must of managed to fly away. After resting.

Good result, I often see birds in the garden just sitting there with their wings spread out. Maybe a way of cooling down.

I must admit I don't like all the jackdaws coming into garden taking food scaring all the other birds but seeing it in the river bed and not even trying to escape I had to rescue it it squalked alot but didn't try to escape or peck at me. I moved it's wings and legs all seamed OK.

Well the jackdaw didn't make it.

Don't know what was happing at 2am this morning as got woken by what might be an owl? Screeching away or a least a bird making alot oh sounds. Will have a look in day light

I thought you were going to say it came back for food. Looks like it came in to some problems last night.
