Dear Renegades

It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that Big Al has recently passed away, after a very short battle with Cancer.
Big Al was chairman of the Victory Wheelers, and a larger than life character who made an impression on everyone he met.
Also as an accomplished musician, Big Al and the Fireflies were a group that rocked all occassions.

Al's final wishes included a convoy of Hot Rods / Customs / Americans to follow him on his final journey.
His family have requested that everyone meet at Clarence Pier, Southsea, at 12 noon on Thursday 10th December, where we will follow the Hearse to Portchester Crematorium for the 1 pm service.
STRICTLY no Black clothes to be worn, Hawaiian shirts are recommended.

If you are able to honour Big Al with your presence, it would be appreciated. Please send an email to keith@its-ltd.net as we do need to know numbers of cars for traffic measures.

The family have also requested No Flowers, but donations should be made to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Envelopes will be available at the funeral, or can be sent to
Macmillan Cancer Support,
Fundraising for Hampshire,
Crown Chambers
South Street
Andover
SP10 2BN. (Please mention the donation is for Alan Partridge)

A good send off for Al today, should be on 'Meridian' tonight at six.

So sorry we couldn't be there today but our thoughts are with Big Al's family and friends at this sad time.

Was a splendid turnout. So many cars to give Al a good sending off.

Police escort was much appreciated, they done a great job.

Attached are a few photos from Southsea.

BBC Radio Solent and ITV news were there. I watch Meridian News at 6pm, but I didn't see it on there. Did anyone else see it?

Dan, you must have blinked!! All of ten seconds worth - Deserved more.

Off topic Dan, but your attached photo's won't open for me. All I get is a small 'Screen' with a tiny clock going round and round. Have waited quite a while for something to appear but nothing ever comes.

I've just tried it and it done the same to me too, although the first time I tried it, they appeared almost instantly. In the window it opens up, there is <next> and <prev> button, if you click on them a few times you may see the images. It seems to be loading the image but wont display it, until you move to the next photos then back again. I'll look into that.

I am sorry to say that I never knew Al, but my sincere condolences to all of his family and friends.

Very sorry I was unable to make it to your last cruise Al...RIP mate.
