Banger racing stolen cars

Some may have seen that yesterday's race meet at Ringwood had the police involved mainly due to two American cars that are believed to have been stolen.While banger racing is probably fun for the entrants and public when it comes to stolen cars being used and it ends up on facebook and youtube in this case feel tough measure's need to be put in place,,,Indeed if this is a true case of using stolen cars then anyone not lucky enough to have their pride regardless of manufacture hidden from snooping eye's may end up in the same sad situation of loosing their car,,,,spread the word Renegades

Sarah saw something on facebook about it too. Aparently the VIN numbers matched the stolen vehicles. Wonder how the stolen cars got to the banger racing. Surely they wouldn't steal and race them and put it all on youtube. Wonder if they honestly brought them from someone who stole them, dont know how paper works for banger racing, do you exchange log books?.
Hopefully what every happened and with the police involved it may stop more happening.

Melc might now more as was into banger racing mybe post on here??? But wen we did it we brought scrap cars from 25 to 50quid those were the days and logbook was filled as scrap.

often herd these stories when i raced back in the 70s . a friend of mine had to give a wheel off a car he had just bought to the police as the bloke he bought the car from had a puncture and not having a spare took a wheel off a near by parked car. it was all recorded an CCTV.
