Arundel Castle - Sunday 22nd May

We have been invited by Arundel Castle to attend a car rally there on Sunday 22nd May.

All cars must be in place no later than 10:30am. If you are not there by then, you may have a problem getting in.

Meeting place: A27 services to leave at 9:15am prompt and then cruise along to the castle. Dell Boy is going straight to the castle and will escort us in as per the request of Penny at the castle.

Cost: ?5 per car. If you would like entrance into the castle and grounds there is a special price ticket of ?10 per person which will give you access to all areas.

The day is then yours. Visit the shops in town or take a stroll along to the boating lake. We will also have a stall attend that will be selling Betty Boop, posters, badges, cards etc.

We can then all go along to the Black Rabbit at 5pm for tea. They have been advised that we will be attending.

So start spreading the word as we have been told we can get aout 200 cars on site but even if it is 20 odd cars it is still a fantastic day out.

Hiya by all means come along. We are all meeting at the A27 services/Little Chef to leave at 9:15am prompt and will be picking up more cars along the way. Where are you located? Would be better to all cruise in together too so the more the merrier. Look forward to seeing you.

hi,
is that the little chef at fontwell or the little chef near emsworth ? me coming from worthing so could meet in lay by as you come into arundal near the pub think it's the white heart?????? the one thats just ben refurb. that leads to big roundabout or wait at top of arundal by the castle gates????.
what about sticking a link on the mustang owners website to helps with numbers????

Hiya its the one near Emsworth so probably not practical for you to meet us there. So why not by the layby as you come into Arundel. You won't miss us coming along and i know your car so will look out for you. We don't really want cars waiting by the gates as there hopefully will be quite a few cars coming and going.

I have emailed Mustang Owners Club so they may add to their events.

Bit of a cheek charging the cars, seeing as we'd be attracting more people to the castle, and its not like they have to rent the space unlike events such as wheels day. I'll still go, but won't be going round the castle again, would work out to only ?1 off the normal entrance fee when we're doing them a service. Bit poor on the castles part there! :thumbdown:

I think it is actually more of an insurance then anything else. In case we damage their property. We won't be going round the castle again either as seen it all before. If you had to park in Arundel for the day you would be paying more than a fiver as well so at least we know the cars will be safer then parked on the road.

What a brilliant day, really enjoyed it, although I must say the tops of my legs are caning me today, whose idea was it to go up the keep, all in all a thorughly enjoyable time finised off with a lovely meal at the pub.xxxx

I believe H still has the Camaro. Think it's in their garage, not seen it for a long time.
