This car is a one owner classic Mustang Hardtop, recently imported from Los Angeles with a genuine 53000 miles.<br />
<br />
A "San Jose" factory manufactured vehicle in sunny California - V8 - 289 "C Code" Two Barrel Carb. <br />
This car has never been welded, and appears to have all the original panels carrying the correct factory stampings. The lines are laser sharp, and the underside is solid. The previous owner informed us the car was repainted some 15 years back in the same original colour. The paint is in excellent shape with the right patina and there is no sign of "bondo" or ripples.<br />
<br />
It sailed through the MOT last week with no advisories and we are just completing the V55/5 DVLA registration forms. This process takes typically 3 weeks from application to us receiving the V5 and fitting number plates.<br />

This car is available to view now and a 1000 deposit paid by cash / bank transfer will reserve. We have trade plates so can happily test to any genuine prospective buyer.<br />

Built on time on 15th March 1968, this Mustang rolled out of San Jose plant and was registered at Maywood Bell Ford, Atlantic Boulevard, California 4 days later to sisters Jean and Joyce Hawkley. They both married later, but have retained the car ever since. We have a significant dossier of paperwork with this car including the original owners manual with the handwritten dealer entry together with the Marti report (The bible of the Mustang unique vehicle data). -Air Conditioning "Selectaire". (The r12 refrigerant has been degassed. It is our plan to have this upgraded with the latest fittings and recharged with r134a for the new owner. We cannot be sure of the condition of the system as a dye test cannot be undertaken until refilled and tested. We aim to have this carried out prior to registration) <br />
-Electric Clock (Not working - they never do!. Watchers of this listing will know the best way is to fit a direct replacement quarts clock inner that is readily available)<br />

We have a significant dossier of paperwork including the original owners manual and numerous receipts to support the mileage.<br />

This vehicle has been through our workshop. Our initial inspection found the vehicle to have a recent new gas tank and sender, rear section of exhaust, new carburetor and HT leads, points, cap etc. The tyres appear relatively new too and all shock absorbers have been replaced not so long ago <br />

This vehicle is 50 Years old and is in great shape. It is not a new car and is a piece of "iconic automotive history". It drives well but not like a modern car. As from a dry state you may hear the normal inherent suspension squeak in different weather conditions. It is unlikely to be a "daily driver". it is a car a certain generation will appreciate and cherish. <br />
