What should I check before buying a used commuter e-scooter for club runs?

I'm in Cheyenne and thinking about picking up a used electric scooter for short hops around town and to club meetups. A local seller has an iScooter i8M listed, and the specs I found online say it's a commuter model with a folding stem and a fairly modest range. What I can't tell from listings alone is whether the battery has been cycled hard or whether parts like tires and brake pads are easy to source. I'm mostly worried about range dropping in cold weather and whether a scooter like this can keep up on longer club drives or if it's strictly a last-mile option. I don't have hands-on time with this model, so I'd rather hear from people who've run commuter scooters through a Wyoming winter. What should I ask the seller, and are there specific wear items to inspect before committing?

Update after digging around more - iScooter i8M Electric Scooter Review came up while I was checking the i8M, and it covers some of what I was wondering about. Still not sure a modest-range commuter is realistic for club drives in a Cheyenne winter, so I'd want battery health details from the seller before deciding.

Benjamin’s point about winter range deserves emphasis: ask the seller for the battery’s age, typical charge habits, and whether the scooter was stored indoors or below freezing. Low-mileage listings can still hide a tired pack, so a voltage check after a full charge would tell you more than the odometer. Also inspect the folding stem latch for play, spin both wheels for wobble, and check tire and brake pad thickness. A modest commuter is fine for short hops, but I wouldn’t treat it as a club-drive vehicle.
