Transmission needs servicing

Hi folks.

My Pontiac Bonneville is in need of a transmission service. Basically the transmission oil pan has to come off to change the ATF & filter, and the sump gasket needs to be replaced at the same time. I'm not keen on attempting this myself, so was wondering if you had any recommendations for Yank-friendly local garages that could do this work for me?

Cheers!

Location?

But to be fair very easy job done both of my auto's th400 and th350 both very easy jobs

Just need a trolly jack and axle stands and 3/8 socket and 9/16 socket extension and ratchet and a large catch tray and the right parts for your gearbox
IE atf gear oil 4-5 lts as you won't change all the oil in one hit oil filter sump gasket mybe rtv sealant if required ?

but if you don't want to do yourself due to no tools or spare time any motor garage with a ramp can do this. this is not rocket sience should only be an hours labour plus vat if you supply parts .

hope this helps?

Alders automotive, they specialise in gearboxes, I've purchased parts for the rear end from them before. Very knowledgeable. I'd certainly recommend them. They have the ability for complete rebuilds making it ready for drag racing.
Hom
They are towards Worthing direction.

Other than that, I used a gearbox specialist in Fareham for my gearbox on the Trans-Am. The input shaft bearing needed changing. They done that, and very quick.
They are called Briggs motors, Unit 8 Bridge Industries, Fareham PO16 8SX

Cool, thanks guys, that has reassured me.

For info I live Portsmouth, and the Bonneville has a 4T60-E transmission. Four-speed with "overdrive" (just a five-speed with a tall 5th really).
