Is there any way to pop up an alert box when you have a new private message? I keep missing the little notification bit at the top.

A box should pop up. When I log into the forum I get a pop up, but wont let me open it due to a pop up blocker. Perhaps you have a pop up blocker stopping this.

Do you get the notification at the top right of the page?
I'm not sure if the pop ups work in Internet Explorer 8, I'm using Firefox.

I don't get the yellow bar or anything like that, strange...
