I'm not a terrorist so have nothing to fear from governmental snooping, as much as I dislike the idea.
But, the fact that anyone can buy the technoology and use it for identify theft purposes is really frightening.

Yes a tad worrying. I don't mind the police listening in as nothing to hide, but someone able to buy the kit for £1k, its within reach of being able to buy it.

yup, £1k is a small investment considering how much money they would make from identity theft.

Found an app though, called crypto phone.
It essentially encrypts data (including calls) between two phones that are both running the app.
No idea how it works in practice though. Will have to test later.
