I took a short drive today to Cosham IBM to the Scouts Transport Rally photos at:- http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk/members/transamdan-albums-scouts-transport-rally-2013.html

The car had a little puddle of water developing under it. Took a look and all the pipes were dry on the outside. The water was weeking behing the water pump. I took a couple of photos with a flash up there as its hard to see/feel where it is really coming from. I stayed at the show for an hour or two. The radiator was about half full. Borrowed some water off Matts dad (I will give it back) an took it easy home. The car didn't over heat and stayed around normal temperature. When i got it home i popped the hood and checked the radiator, it was about half full again.
Notice the water was dripping a lot quicker than earlier.

It certainly feels like its coming from the back of the pump. i guess its a case of taking the pump off and see whats going on....

Well was going to whip it of on Tuesday. took it off today instead.

Water was weeping front he bottom of the bell, so its probably coming out around he spindle. Its all dry on the back.
So thought I'd give it a wobble and a turn, shown in the next video. I think the pump is toast. I did open the access hatch on the back, but the innards are pressed in. A quick look at prices, US automotive is ?400, eBay ?300, rock auto are better with pricing, lets see how much ?60 shipping, ?60 for a bosch pump. hummm.

Video of the rumble pump.

Pump ordered from RockAuto, ?152 including shipping and VAT :)

FedEx tracking reports it was picked up today (Tuesday) and will arrive here by 6pm on Thursday. How whizzy is that....

The current tracking on the part shows it in Transit from Mephis at 11.36am today. Could that transit be a plane to the UK?
:) wont be long now. Mind you its being delivered to work, and I'm out of the orifice tomorrow. However I do have a key so I can pop in to pick it up.

Pump is all fitted and appears to be working, doing a couple of short trips, i think the water level has settled now, so all good :)

Only 6 bolts to put the pump on, and a few surclips to hold on the hoses. Got it fitted in about 30mins. I'm getting good at this, now whats going to pack up next....
