Looking for a local shop (Fareham/Hampshire) to breath new life into my old 4X4

Pretty much all in the title.

After 19 years of ownership I've decided I want to invest some money into keeping my Isuzu Trooper ticking over (Bodywork and Mechanical.

What shops are you guys using to keep your cars on the road?

How much can you do yourself? To help keep cost down labour rates are a killer.
What sort of work are you thinking of getting done?

The guy that painted my car is great on bodywork, however he worked with a freind and they went their seperate way at the garage, neither could afford the rent on their own. The guy is called Torma, you have seen him at car shows in his Caddy. He is on facebook, https://www.facebook.com/attorma. I beleive he has a smaller workshop now, perhaps just doing genral repairs/MOT's. May be worth contacting if you are stuck. He is over Romsey direction..

Other than that I wouldn't have a clue where to go for bodywork or engine issues.

Attilla was the owner of the garage and Torma was his friend. They went their seperate ways sometime between them painting your car and doing work on my Truck. He would have been the go to guy and not only was he reasonably priced, he did good work too. I contacted him not long ago and sadly he's moved to just outside Oxford.

Ah that's a bummer that he is so far away now.

Fuel tank and hoses need replacement, welding, cam belt and water pump, hand brake needs looking at, exhaust replacement, oils and filters and glow plugs replaced.

My lying on my back and on hands and kees are pretty much over. I can't find anything simple that meets my needs more than the car I currently own, so have decided to spend some money on her.

Are planning on doing all the work in one go or a few jobs at a time??
There is a lot of labour cost in doing all that list shame you can't do some of it yourself.

I could do a couple of the jobs myself, but it needs somewhere indoors and a ramp to get under it for most of the work.
