Nice photos! I've seen that yellow New York cab around before and it always confused me as it appears to be a Mercury Grand Marquis rather than a Ford Crown Vic, but with Ford badges added. Cool vehicle though.

Interesting, I would never have noticed that.

Been looking at a few crown vics, seems 2001'ish is one of the closest ones. Although the side indicator is different.

Yep, the sidelights are different on the Grand Marquis. The headlights and grille are subtley different too. Also, look closely at the grille design on the Krispy Creme taxi - that's a Mercury grille and it should be chrome - it has been painted over.

It's a 1998-2002 Mercury Grand Marquis.
