Appeared in an episode of the Rockford files.
I actually had no idea it featured on TV. Gave me real pleasure to actually see it even if it was only a static shot.

I wonder how many were converted. Not many photos on the interweb, so can't be many. Wonder how many around these days.

They converted two. One Firebird and one T/A. One was destroyed by GM.
The other still exists.
Some more shots from part 2 including some motion.

lovely!!!

I’d love to build a clone and drop ride tech suspension underneath, steering rack, big brakes and wheels and a Butler big block or a Chevy 572 in front of a T56.

There was an aftermarket company that did conversions for these but are very rare. The original concept was dropped because the bodies were made by pininfirina which made them cost prohibited. They actually did one in 1985 which fitted in place of the original glass hatch with no other modifications required, I don't know why that also didn't make it to production.

Looks kinda cool.

I once saw a Bently Estate/Shooting Brake on the road, no pics as I was driving at the time.
