V8UK Goes Insane!

We have been honoured with the gift of being able to hold an event at Insane Creations HQ in Hampshire, which will be our first ever SOUTHERN event!

In usual V8UK style we will roll up for 9am and spend a couple hours swapping stories and checking out what projects the Insane Creations guys are currently working on.

Then at mid day it's time to fire up your V8s and go for a drive out on some nice roads with an aim to be out for around 30 - 40 mins.

Back to Insane Creations for one of Ron Haslett's famous cook ups with food for all!

There of course will also be a V8UK Hero Award up for grabs and the winner will be chosen by all who attend!

Please help spread the word on this event as it will be our first southern venture we hope to make it a great day and hopefully the first of many at Insane HQ!

As we will be coming down from the Midlands fairly early on this one, if anyone wants to join us in the convoy down let us know and we will post a route up!

Just to bring this thread to the top.
If you are not going to the Brickworks Museum or V8 Mentalist show this Sunday, then pop down to Rons workshop for an open day. I popped down there at the last one, there was some great cars there, of course Rons Willis, Andy's Ferrari kit car, and much more...

Then in the evening the Southsea cruise at 6pm, to cruise at 7pm.

Looking like this is gonna be a cracker if not just for the free food alone!

For anyone attending please note there are TWO locations for this event!

The first location is

Unit 3A Ackworth road
Portsmouth
Hants

This is from 9 – 11.30

Then there is a cruise to the second location! Any time after this meet at the second location!

Ooohh, that's my birthday....now there's a thought on where I should spend the day!

I wonder if my clutch will be sorted by then ;)
:car:

I hope it will be!! Be great to see tha Tans Am hitting the strip!!

Mr Saleen 192... Best get yours sorted too! :p

Must be too much sand from the sea side that makes all your cars suffer! :D

Yeah I'd certainly like to give it ago. A new thrust bearing for the clutch should arrive today. I'm hoping the input shaft of the gear box will be fine. I wont know until I take it out.

Never taking it down Santapod. although i have taken it down Thorney Island, an old air field, not prepped, with all the balls of rubber on the track it was like driving on marbles, pulling away in 2nd gear I got around 14.2s @ 103mph. 1st, gear just spun up, so it was useless. I guess Santapod will be a whole lot different, and will likely twist off the drive shaft or knacker the gear box, so i will be gentle on the pull away, as the tyres are like a fuse in the drivetrain, and the tyres are likely to stick at the pod. :)
