Three recreations from three iconic Burt Reynolds movies join a promotional car in a once in a lifetime opportunity.The world truly lost an icon when legendary actor Burt Reynolds passed away recently. But this is an especially large loss for the automotive enthusiast community. A group that seemingly worshiped Reynolds for his most famous role as Bo “Bandit” Darville in Smokey and the Bandit. It was a movie that quite simply shaped a generation, gave us hope in a time of performance hell. And turned the Pontiac Trans Am and its screaming chicken into a superstar. All in one felt swoop.Sadly, all of the cars used in the filming of Smokey and the Bandit were destroyed for liability reasons. But over the years, we’ve seen a number of recreations and a promotional Trans Am go for big money. Reynold"s friend and business partner Gene Kennedy of Bandit Movie Cars Florida also worked with the actor to painstakingly recreate three of those vehicles.
