This week’s Burnout video features the kind of tire shredding action that shouldn’t be tried at home – or ever, really. The driver of this silver C6 Corvette Z06 is doing a burnout on a two-lane public road, facing oncoming traffic which includes a tanker truck of some sort. Needless to say, this is the kind of burnout that we don’t recommend people trying on their own, as this is the kind of burnout that leads to accidents or to tickets when people call the cops on you for hooning in traffic.
However, this C6 Corvette Z06 does a pretty solid burnout, all things considered. As it rumbles into frame with an idle that sounds a little nastier than stock, the driver gives the LS7 engine a few quick revs before dropping the clutch and smoking the tires. The Corvette eases forward and gradually picks up speed as the tires continue to smoke – narrowly missing a car that turns in front of him towards the end of the action.
