I live in Chicago and have been thinking about a folding electric scooter for the shorter trips where taking the car feels like more hassle than it's worth, especially with parking around the neighborhood. The Hiboy S2 caught my eye because it folds and is aimed at commuters. I found this third-party page while looking at specs: Hiboy S2 Electric Scooter Review: 350W Foldable Commuter Scooter.
What I'm unsure about is the real-world range with a 350W motor and how it handles our pavement and weather, plus how compact it actually folds for carrying onto a train. I don't want to buy something that only works on perfect smooth paths. Has anyone here used a folding scooter for daily errands or a short commute, and how did it work out for you?
