Yep, and you will be lucky to get an MOT appointment as all garages will be booked up.
Sarah took her Volvo for MOT today, glad she did too. They noticed play in the passenger side front wheel drive shaft, it was sticking out fromt hub by an inch and a half. He took a look inside the hub and there was a big bolt missing and had been missing for some time. This pulls the shaft intot he hub. If this has popped out on a drive it would have stripped the splines on the hub and the shaft. This missing bolt was from a clutch change from the garage Sarah got the car from. If this MOT/Service was missed for 6 months and that shaft popped out, it would have been a hefty bill just for the parts.
How many cars are going to be on the road that are hanging and barely passed their last MOT. Its probably fine if your car is sitting on the drive and not being driven during the MOT extention, but some cars are.
