I'm sure you will have all heard about the sale of new petrol & diesel cars being banned from 2040.
Fortunately by 2040 I will be old enough to have to reapply for my drivers licence and there will be plenty of petrol cars left around for me to Buy should I want too, and let's very face it I drive an electric car now for my daily duties.
My concern is the hobby as they will no doubt try and legislate those off the road with road side emissions testing.
The end is coming and the battle lines have been drawn.

The media really screw with headlines. Yes I agree NEW cars by 2040 will not be sold with petrol/diesel, but they first made the listeners believe that ALL cars including current can't be used by 2040. Don't you just hate the media.

Anything to sensationalize the headline. Bottom line is sales for them so anything that generates revenue like sales of newspapers or hits on their web sites is fair marketing.
But the truth is no less disturbing than their slightly inaccurate reporting.

No, it's EU law and would come in regardless.
Actually I think we have got off quite lightly as the Tories have pushed enforcement out to local councils.
The alternative is a draconian enforcement from Parliament
