Sometimes, money just can"t buy you the win. Sometimes, good old fashioned hot rodding is the only way to go faster. What you"re about to watch is a drag race between a Nissan GT-R Nismo Edition and a modified C7 Corvette. The GT-R Nismo, on paper, has 600 horsepower, AWD, and costs $150,000. The C7 Corvette starts at $50,000, only makes 450 horsepower, and is RWD. However, thanks to the tuners at Redline Motorsports, the Corvette now has a new supercharger and some other minor adjustments. The key to this race is cost. The Corvette, even with all the extra bits added, still costs quite a bit less than the Nissan GT-R Nismo. Additionally, it weighs less due to it just being RWD. So, what happens when old fashioned American hot rodding goes up against the sterile supercar from Japan? MERICA! That"s what.Watch as the C7 Corvette eats the Nissan GT-R Nismo for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >>Tags: C7, Corvette, Drag Race, GT-R, Nismo, Video
