Ok, so this thing isn"t strictly a Ford Focus. The only bits it shares with one of those are the A/B-pillars and windscreen. The rest is totally bespoke, as you might have guessed. It was built a couple of years ago by Aussie company Pace Innovations for a chap called Tony Quinn, and has since raced at Pikes Peak where, last year, it finished fifth in the unlimited class. This year, it"s back. The engine is the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 from the Nissan GT-R (with either 800 or 850bhp, Pace and the uploader of this video disagree), driving all four wheels through a six-speed sequential transmission. Carbon fibre body panels (and the custom tubular chassis) means it weighs less than a tonne, but supposedly produces as much again in downforce at 124mph. Sticky.
