Shocker Look-a-Like 3rd Gen Camaro Slips and Slides Down the Track

The 3rd generation Chevrolet Camaro in the video above looks a great deal like "The Shocker" driven by Street Outlaws regular Kye Kelley, but it is not. The car in this video from the Jmalcom2004 YouTube channel is a different 3rd gen Camaro, but even on the slippery track, it covers the quarter mile like the best racers on television.Not The ShockerWhile the Camaro in this video might be mistaken for Kelley"s Shocker Camaro, it is not the same car. The hood on this car rises much higher at the windshield, the wheels on the two cars are different, Kelley"s has headlights whereas this one does not and this car does not have a wheelie bar. There are likely other differences, but that short list makes it obvious that this is a different 3rd gen Camaro.The details on this car are short, but the title claims that it has nitrous and based on the hood design, it is likely running a dual-quad carburetor setup. While it has the pro stock look, it appears to be running on a small tire rather than a massive set of slicks.Battling the Slick TrackIn the video above, the wicked 3rd gen Camaro makes two passes down the quarter mile at the Middle Georgia Motorsports Park. Each run starts with a big, smoky, pro stock-style burnout followed by a careful staging process.Once the car is in the beams and the green lights drop, this 3rd gen Camaro blasts away from the line and is making good progress when it begins to spin the tires around half track. This happens on both runs, forcing the driver to lift off of the throttle to regain traction, but the clean Chevy race car gets down the track clean and hard on both runs.There are no times displayed, but there is no question that this 3rd gen Camaro would get down the track with the best of the television racers.
