The noise. Can you imagine the sheer noise? That"s about all we can bring ourselves to say after Ferrari released this jaw-dropping gallery of pictures from its latest Corse Clienti test day at the Mugello circuit. Think of the damn noise.Corse Clienti days are reserved for Ferrari"s most valued, faithful, deep-pocketed customers. The sort of people who weren"t put off by paying seven figures for one or several of the limited edition XX" special series cars despite the fact they"d never get to take it home. Or drive it on the road with Ferrari"s blessing, for that matter. It looks like their loyalty has been rewarded with a rather a good time this week. For the record, the Mugello test day featured 18 of the 40 track-only LaFerrari FXXKs produced, along with four 599XXs and 11 599XX Evos. Wonder how the non-Evo boys feel getting out of the way of the winged later versions? Probably still pretty good about life, really. A naturally aspirated V12 developing 720bhp at 9000rpm will help with that, we imagine. One of the original FXX cars also showed up, demonstrating just how far Ferrari"s rolling test bed supercars have come since the days of the Enzo supercar and Michael Schumacher"s hand in road car development. Speaking of the seven-time F1 champ, a few of his old mounts showed up too, like the F2005 and 248 F1. An infinitely better usage of such machines than a dusty museum, we think you"ll agree.Fleshing out the F1 side of proceedings was essentially a school reunion of modern-day Ferrari F1 cars, with a pair of F2001s, an F2002, and an F2004 joining an F2003-GA. Not forgetting Kimi Raikkonen"s old F2007 plus four F2008s. Oh, and an F10 and F150 Italia previously thrashed by a chap called Fernando Alonso. We particularly appreciate the inclusion of owner GoPros atop the airboxes where Bernie"s cameras used to live.Think of the history contained on that grid. And the horsepower. Try to get your head around the unmentionable value contained in that pit lane. But most of all, can you imagine the NOISE? It probably sounded something like this, but turned up to forty-three
