This week"s Drag Race Monday video features a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 going head to head with a 4th gen Chevrolet Camaro SS. We don"t have any details on either vehicle, but the details state that the Camaro has an "LSX" engine and based on the quarter mile time I would guess that the Corvette is not completely stock. It could have stickier tires and/or some light engine work to get off of the line so well and blast down the track in the 10 second range, but that is purely speculation. In any case, when the Camaro and Corvette launch, the LS-powered Chevy in the near lane stays right with the LT4-powered Z06, but it isn"t long before the Corvette is pulling away. It looks like the Camaro might run into a problem during the second half of the race, but the Z06 powers ahead to a time of 10.95 and a speed of 125.34 miles per hour. The Camaro, after sticking close for the early part of the race, only manages a 12.38 at 94 miles per hour, leading me to believe that something went wrong.Crank up your speakers and watch this black C7 Corvette Z06 crack into the 10s!
