I'm wondering if it is photo-shopped. They have done a very good job at it, even where it disturbs the liquid on the eye where the stinger goes in.
Looking at the light coming onto the picture its from behind the head, so like from the top left of the picture. However there is light on the Wasp head on, like the wasp is receiving light from a flash of a camera, but this flash isn't seen anywhere else on the photo.
