Chevy in NASCAR

Back in February 2017, Chevy announced they were retiring the SS sedan from racing, which has left many NASCAR fans wondering what the replacement will be moving forward. The next season of NASCAR will bring in a new car for Chevy race teams to drive, and that new car is the Camaro ZL1. Starting in 2018, the ZL1 will compete in the popular Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

I watch NASCAR occasionally, and often wonder why is the point of manufacturers putting their name on the cars. Perhaps they sponsor parts or something. I could be wrong, but I believe all engines are the same, all cars are a tubular chassis with a fibreglass shell much like a ProMod drag car, nothing is Chevy or Toyota or any other manufacturer, all cars are the same shape too. Just a different front grill.
