Car seat repair.

The driver's seat on the trans-am is very worn out. done a lot of miles, so it's been well used. The stitching has come apart, and sponge disappeared. There is a place around the corner from where I work. Called Richmond & James. They have a few classic cars in there which they are restoring. They specialise in Car Upholstery, and gave a rough quote of £400.
It needs to be done at some point and that's probably cheaper than a new seat. This includes a new side panel, new foam and bottom center bit.

How much to do yourself? or second hand unit?

Don't think I could do it myself. Unlikly to find at a scrap yard, and would cost more than that to ship from U.S.
